York Galland is a designer in

New York City, New York, U.S.A.

Mr. Galland is the founder of the NEW YORK NETWORK FOR GREEN DESIGN — an alliance of underground design firms formed to help New York businesses do away with the use of paper.

Before that, he was an abstract physicists, art director for two magazines and a bass player in a hip-hop screemo band. Before that, he graduated from Brown University, studying physics. He grew up in a small town in Alaska.

UNBELIEVABLE FACTS ABOUT YORK GALLAND: He is a part Eskimo. He designed his first logo for a famous shoe company located in Alabama. He is bi-dexterous. In 1979 he attended a Ramones concert and caught Joey Ramone's jacket when he flung it from the stage during a blistering rendition of "I wanna be sedated." He proudly wears the jacket to this day.
